Roegreen training pool is a school swimming pool in North London. dm3a were delighted to completed another scheme at the Roegreen School in North London. This project set out to replace an existing ‘open air’ training pool with a state of the art energy efficient indoor facility.
The proposed new pool fits on a tight, odd shaped space adjacent to the existing school buildings. This called for an unique pool design to maximise the available space. The design, clad in reclaimed brickwork from an existing changing block, aims to complement the original brick architecture but its dramatic roof profile and large skylight provides a contemporary and ‘open’ pool hall reminiscent of the outdoor pool it replaces.
Adorned with artwork produced by the school children, this shallow training pool is an asset to the school and also is used by local community groups.
